Local Ambiguity

In January while enjoying breakfast in the shady courtyard of the Rainbow Cafe in Nimbin, I noticed my coffee cup said ‘premium Nimbin coffee.’ I asked the barista if the coffee beans were locally grown.  The response I though was amusing.

” Well actually no, it used to be but we had such a poor harvest this year so we had to get them from another grower about 5 minutes away up the mountain.”

Just goes to show that some people have a pretty strict definition of what is local.
